Rhythm

Rhythm is about a God who is involved in the daily life around us. But how do we recognize God in the world? Do we see God as a happy grandfather who spends more on us than He should? Or do we see God as a Judge who's ready to condemn us? Perhaps God is to be seen as a song, a rhythm in the world with which we can be in sync or in tune.

Within Rhythm, teens are challenged to live in tune with the song that is God. It is not a question of whether people are playing a song, but whether they are in tune with the song. In His taking on of flesh and His love, compassion, and truth Jesus shows us what God is like; He shows us how the song is played. And so when we find ourselves acting otherwise we are essentially out of tune with God.

Rhythm is about helping people tune themselves to the song and in so doing we ourselves become more and more in tune. So this is our name, our purpose to live in such a way that we are in tune with God and so help others play the song.
